Where will my boudoir session take place?
Your session will take place in my boudoir studio in downtown Indianapolis. Don’t worry, I won’t make you meet at a hotel. Ocassionally I do travel across the US. If you’re interested in a session in another city/state, send me an email to see if we’re available!
What does my session fee include?
We offer weekday and Weekend sessions. All session fees include an in-person pre-session consultation to chat about what to wear, how to prep, and what your vision for the sessions is. It also includes professional hair styling and airbrush makeup (with false lashes for the ladies), a private boudoir photoshoot in the studio with pose coaching from me, retouching of your images, and an in-studio reveal and ordering appointment.
Do you provide lingerie or do i bring my own?
I no longer provide a wardrobe closet. I’m happy to say our clients are so diverse, that it became impossible to offer great pieces that flattered so many body types and sizes. We now ask that you bring your own pieces, but don’t worry, we’ll go over how to choose these, at your pre-session consultation, and where to buy them.
I have no clue how to pose or what looks good. Will you help me?
I will instruct you through the entire session, on how to pose from head to toe. You will never be left to wonder what to do with your face, an arm or leg, and I will NEVER tell you to, “Give me a sexy look”. That’s the worst!
Do you shoot with props?
I do allow props that go with your style or the mood of the session you’re looking for. If you have an idea that may require a prop, let me know at your pre-session consultation and I can give you some great ways to incorporate that theme!
What is your retouching policy?
I believe in lite retouching. I do remove stretch marks, cellulite, and blemishes, unless otherwise asked to, but I do not “blur” you skin to achieve this. All retouching is done by hand to ensure even when removing cellulite, that I still retain your skin’s normal texture. At your pre-session consult, I will ask if you have an scars, tattoos, moles, or deformities, and how you would like them handled. (i.e. If you want them edited out or left in, or if you’d prefer me to photograph you in a way, it’s not prominent in images.)
Do I have to be nude?
It is your decision if you are comfortable doing implied or full nudes. I will never push you, this decision is completely yours, but I definitely recommend it. A boudoir session is about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and reclaiming your sexuality. This is where this happens, and you don’t want to walk away from your experience with regrets.
I’m not in perfect shape and I’m self conscious about my belly. Can I do a shoot if I don’t look like a super model?
There is no right size, age or look for boudoir. EveryBODY can do it! I’ve photographed women of every shape, size and age.
Do my images have to go online?
I’m in love with each and everyone of my clients and proud to display every piece of art I create. Ever had a fleeting fancy to be a model? Wondered what it’s like to throw caution to the wind and say this is my body and I fucking love it! Now is your chance to shine. Of course we understand that not everyone can handle women that are so badass and there maybe issues with privacy concerns and employment situations. You can opt out of having your images shared at any time, and we never publish a clients personal details such as their name unless we’re specifically asked to.
I want my album by a certain date, when should I schedule my session?
If possible I suggest booking 6-8 weeks before you need the images, especially if you would like an album. But sometimes I’m able to accommodate a last minute session, so don’t hesitate to contact me even if you’re on a tight time line.
Do people ever book a session as a gift to themselves?
All the time. And what an amazing, empowering gift it is to give yourself!
Should I tan before hand?
That’s a personal decision, but if you prefer to tan, I strongly encourage you to book with our stylist Heather at the Spray Spa in Fishers . The camera picks up even the tiniest of pores, and while in person, you don’t look a wonky color, in camera, most other tans can come across very orangey.
I’m feeling very nervous. Is this normal?
Trust me, everyone is a bit nervous before the shoot. All of the ladies on my website, FB, and IG are real women, who were just as nervous before their session too. After a few minutes, you’ll find your groove, and feel ready to rock your session with no nerves at all!
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2010. I have photographed hundreds of sessions. Boudoir is what I specialize in. We got you girl!
